Bring your kids across city limits... KidCity limits, that is! Every weekend, kids up to age 10 will enjoy a full range of interactive, entertaining, hands-on programming to suit every ability and interest level. They’ll get the same type of instruction done in contemporary and relevant ways, just like what goes on in the “big room” on Sundays with the adults. There are activity stations unlike anything kids have at home, live worship specially designed to keep their attention and small group time to help them make connections from Bible stories to their own little lives! And, there’s special take-home features given out monthly in a family magazine called “Guess What?!”
Barb Bierman - Children's Ministries Director
Barb Bierman is basically a “big kid at heart” so working in Children`s Ministries is a perfect fit for her! She has 2 kids of her own, Erik & Aleke, who are the willing (most of the time) guinea pigs for all the ideas she has for new children`s activities. Barb is a certified teacher and has taught at public and private schools in both Canada and the US during her career. Now, she splits her days between working on staff at River City and duties as the Executive Director of the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools. In her spare time, she loves music and gets her groove on by playing Dance, Dance Revolution and American Idol on Playstation. She loves going to the movies, trying all the kinds of coffee at Starbucks, camping and parties with friends and family. Her favourite quote – “Be the kind of girl who, when she wakes up in the morning the devil says, oh crap, she's up!”
